Hollywood Tower Hotel

I had a very very VERY bad experience here. *I had my eyes closed lol* we checked in and we didn’t get a room floor or number? I guess we just had to guess. it was very dusty and had a lot of cobwebs and it kinda smelled. We got into the elevator and it went on for like, forever and the elevator suddenly dropped! we are were like “ah!” Then it finally stopped and I was relived, and we made it to the gift shop and we did NOT buy anything from there( even if there was a cute stitch elevator worker plush) then we needed a break. Would not recommend unless u like elevator malfunctions. bye!

Booked a stay here recently. The outside of the hotel grounds could definitely use some landscaping, and it almost looks as if an entire section of the hotel has been ripped off by something. Inside definitely isn’t better, the lobby is completely covered in cobwebs, barely any staff, and check in was extremely slow. For the state the building was in, I was surprised that only a single room on the 13th floor was available. For unexplained reasons, the staff that happened to be there ushered me into the boiler room, which I would expect to be off limits for guests. The elevators were extremely faulty, like something had messed with the system, one was even completely destroyed. To make an already bad stay even worse, I never even got to my room! The library is very well stocked however, so if you just so happen to be the last living individual on earth, you could find plenty to read, which is the one of the only positive things about this place. If you’re traveling in the Hollywood area, do not stay here. The only other positive thing about this place is the amazing view of Hollywood boulevard below.

Well what can I say about this Hotel. Difficult to know where to start really, the outside decor is tired and run down looking, and when approaching the front door all I could hear was screaming from other inconsiderate guests. Check in process was pretty sluggish as we seemed to arrive along with all the other guests. The lobby looks like it needs a thorough clean, lots of cobwebs, clearly not been dusted in years. For the cost of a visit I would expect a few more cleaners could be employed. Directed by staff into another room, where there seems to be an issue with defective lights and more cobwebs everywhere. Some really nice artifacts on display and antique seats but again covered in dust so unable to rest after a long day. Ushered into the boiler room next which actually seemed cleaner than the lobby area. We were then shown into a service elevator as the main ones are currently out of use. This was to take us to our room for the night which was apparently in ‘The Twilight Zone’ of the hotel. During the journey the elevator cart was clanky, wonky lighting, unusual sounds, electrical issues galore and it went up and down like a kid had played with all the buttons before we arrived not at our room but in the hotel gift shop! This was the cleanest part of the building although the prices were a bit steep. All the staff had a very unusual manner during our stay and seemed to keep suggesting we may not survive the visit. To sum up our visit, the hotel has outdated decor outside and in, lots of general maintenance is required to return it to its former glory, and its wasn’t a very peaceful stay. A lick of paint here and there would go a long way. Its a shame too as the hotel is in a wonderful vibrant location and there are some great views from the upper floors. We won’t be returning anytime soon although I would recommend you try it for yourself and make your own mind up.

My favorite parts of this eclectic hotel are the views from the upper levels! I will say, though, that they’re short lived, so be sure to enjoy them while they last! The staff seems to have “tenure”, let’s say, and while helpful, it doesn’t appear as though they enjoy their work very much. As for the accommodations themselves, I feel the maid service could use some work: there were cobwebs and dust bunnies everywhere! Finally, the elevators seemed to be having a few issues during our stay, so be mindful!

Location, location, location. If it was not for the location of this hotel, it would surely be shut down and turned into a prison for galactic criminals. We stayed here for inly two nights as it was close walk to the the theater for a showing of Beauty And The Beast. The hotel itself is run down, the staff is basically unfriendly, I mean, would it kill them to smile?! Our room had a great view, but the cobwebs and sounds of screaming children & adults made it difficult to sleep. Overall, we would not recommend the hotel, but the Beauty and The Beast show was fantastic!

What a beautiful, old establishment! While the grounds could use some landscaping, I was amazed by the interior decor. And although the lighting was dim, I was impressed with the vintage furniture in the lobby. This hotel is quite popular though, so anticipate waiting in line. But don't worry, they are very hospitable here and provide excellent entertainment while you await your stay. Last note- The view is incredible from the 13th floor 😉

My experience with hotels has had its ups and downs. But I fell in love with the Hollywood Tower when I dropped in there last fall. The staff take customer service to another level and it made for a very uplifting stay.

Right off Hollywood Blvd. is this beautiful hotel! Sure it looks a little creepy on the outside but if you’re into old school and vintage then you definitely would wanna stay here. I would say my experience was awesome. Right from check in from the front desk staff all the way to the boiler room staff everyone was so welcoming and friendly! The best part was the room! When I got in my room on the 13th view all I can say is the view is awesome!!! Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone else who loves classy and vintage hospitality.
